Dimensions Tapestry Update

I completed the tapestry on March 03, but I have had a very close friend visiting me for the past ten days so this is the first chance I've had to come and post a picture! It was so much fun taking this off the loom. I am so pleased to have finally created something on my big loom, and it has set a fire in me. I already have the next warp half strung!

I'll be back shortly to post pictures of the crafty things my friend and I got up to while she was here, the new warp and cartoon, and my decision for framing the Dimensions tapestry.

Cheers everybody!

Does this mean you already have the new cartoon finished? Because, if so, wow-- you weren't kidding about that lit fire.

Nah, not burning that hot yet. ;D But I know exactly what I want, and it's really just a matter of getting up close, photographing the artificial rose, blowing it up to 32 inches across and figuring out my colorway. Okay that sounds bigger when I make it words. But the warp is 3/4 strung and it's making me dizzy with excitement!

Hi JQ,
Negative space question for you. If you have trees against a sunset, is the sunset the negative space, or are the black trees edging the sky the negative space? (see http://buildinganovel.wordpress.com/2011/03/18/thinking-about-characters/#more-378).

Hi Lisa! My art brain thinks it would be both. The way I remember it the positive space is created by the physical object. The air around it makes the negative space. I'll copy this over to your blog too!
