I got a new Camera!

So I can actually take really nice photos of the work I've been doing.
And I have been working. Honest.
Currently am putting together another inkle woven handbag for the Saskatoon Spinner's and Weaver's Guild Open House in May. also am finishing up a small tapestry, and I totally want to post images of these, but the new camera was given to me by my dad and he forgot to send the cord with it, and since I don't have a card reader...
EXCUSES EXCUSES!

But I do have this pic I took sometime around New Year's Day of the little blue woman I crocheted. She was an experiment in increases and decreases, and was made without a pattern. I purposefully didn't keep a record of the pattern because I wanted her to be spontaneous and original. She sparked some concepts for larger sculptural crochet projects. I'm a little shy to show her off but I really love her. Sorry this was obviously taken with my old junk camera. She's a bit fuzzy.

I promise I'll be back to post wonderful new pics as soon as I get either the cord or a card reader!

Cheers!

Finally an update!

Hello everybody! Wow have things ever been busy around here! We had a big move to our very first house, and little William has been a busy bee learning how to crawl and pull up on furniture and even climb stairs. He's just 7 months old! Anyway, when I wasn't busy chasing him around the house, feeding him, doing ubertons of laundry, and trying to keep our new place generally tidy I did manage to find iotas of time here and there for artsy crafty business. I filled out an order of newsboy caps to ship to the Yukon. I threaded up a tapestry frame loom for a future miniature project. I also did a few t-shirt alterations inspired by a book called Generation T.

Here are some little amigurumi critters I was working on for Christmas presents:

And this is the beginning of a little inkle purse I am weaving. well it won't be entirely inkle woven. The main body of the purse is going to be woven on my four harness table loom.

And I just have to post a few Christmas pictures of my little man,who is growing up sooo fast!

I am considering switching gears for awhile and getting some drawing and painting done, but I will continue to post my progress in whatever I decide to do here, being as it is a great way to keep friends and family posted.

Cheers n beers!

Tapestry endeavors...

I just finished off a little thank-you gift for a friend and thought I'd take a quick picture for posting.

I wove four separate 4 x 31/2" symbols and framed them against some brown velveteen.

It's been quite the adventure taking care of the baby and keeping creative juices flowing, but so far so good!

Hearts off the charts!
